an art nouveau building by Raimondo Tommaso D'aronco. It's across from the post office museum in the Eminonu neighborhood in Istanbul. The waiter at the coffee shop where I did this sketch asked me to draw his girlfriend as a graduation present. The sketch was unsuccessful, but he gave me lots of free Turkish coffee.

Copy of a Rembrandt landscape. Don't know why.

preliminary storyboard ideas for a production of Nutcracker at Interlochen Center for the arts in 2015. What's tricky about this production is that they have a 72' wide proscenium and NO FLY SPACE. All the scenery has to be sculptural units that move from the wings. How do you design a Nutcracker without any backdrops? I'm going to find out in the next month or so.
